Scotiabank plans capped enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

New York, Nov. 26 - Bank of Nova Scotia plans to price 0% series A capped enhanced participation notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus two times any gain in the index, up to a maximum redemption amount of $1,280 to $1,320 per $1,000 principal amount. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will share in any losses.

The notes (Cusip: 064159338) will price in December.

Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
