New Issue: Scotiabank prices $7.2 million capped enhanced participation notes linked to MSCI EAFE

San Diego, Aug. 15 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $7.2 million of 0% series A capped enhanced participation notes due Sept. 18, 2013 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to an SUPPL filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 300% of the index return, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,214.50 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will be fully exposed to any losses.
Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
