New Issue: Scotiabank sells $11.07 million capped buffered enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Aug. 8 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $11.07 million of 0% capped buffered enhanced participation notes, series A, due Feb. 11, 2014 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to an Suppl filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any index gain, up to a maximum return of $1,217.50 per $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
