New Issue: Scotiabank prices $5.91 million capped buffered enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

New York, Aug. 3 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $5,908,000 of 0% capped buffered enhanced participation notes, series A, due Aug. 7, 2014 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to an Suppl filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the final index level is greater than the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of the index return, subject to a maximum return of 30.75%. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 10% or less and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.
Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
