New Issue: Barclays prices $10.75 million of 6.55% notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., May 15 - Barclays Bank plc priced $10.75 million of 6.55% notes due May 16, 2013 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable monthly.

If the index return is greater than or equal to negative 20%, the payout at maturity will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1.25% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 20%.
