New Issue: Scotiabank prices $2.9 million capped buffered enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., May 2 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $2.9 million of 0% capped buffered enhanced participation notes, series A, due Nov. 7, 2013 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to an Suppl filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final index level is greater than the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 250% of the index return, subject to a maximum return of 16.5%. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 13% or less and will lose 1.1494% for every 1% that it declines beyond 13%.

Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
