New Issue: Goldman prices $9.63 million leveraged buffered notes tied to MSCI EAFE for Eksportfinans

Chicago, Aug. 31 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $9.63 million of 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due March 7, 2013 linked to the MSCI EAFE index via Goldman Sachs & Co., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum payout of $1,236 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

The initial index level set by the issuer, 1,498.95, is higher than the actual closing level at pricing, which was 1,482.51.
