New Issue: RBC sells $11.77 million 0% buffered equity notes tied to MSCI EAFE via Goldman

Chicago, July 29 - Royal Bank of Canada priced $11.77 million of 0% buffered equity index-linked notes due Sept. 19, 2012 based on the performance of the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,255 per $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 25% and will lose 1.3333% for each 1% decline beyond 25%.
