New Issue: Scotia sells $4.99 million capped notes on index basket

Columbus, Ohio, April 5 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $4.99 million of 0% capped notes due Jan. 27, 2027 linked to an international equity basket, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket consists of the MSCI EAFE index with a 20% weight, the Russell 2000 index with a 30% weight and the S&P 500 index with a 50% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 1.5 times any basket gain, subject to a maximum payout of par plus 66%. Investors will be exposed to any basket decline.
