Movie Gallery creditors vote by more than 90% to support plan of reorganization

New York, April 4 - Movie Gallery, Inc. said that its plan of reorganization was supported by more than 90% of the approximately 1,500 creditors who voted.

Every class of creditors "overwhelmingly" accepted the plan, the company said.

A confirmation hearing is scheduled for April 9.

The company said it aims to emerge from bankruptcy early in the second quarter.

Movie Gallery, a Dothan, Ala.-based video rental company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 16. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-33849.
