By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Jan. 6 - Longacre Institutional Opportunity Fund, LP bought $36 million of Mazie Roberts' claims against Motors Liquidation Co., according to Thursday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Roberts held the claims individually and as special administrator of the estate of John Roberts Sr.

Specifically, Longacre bought a $30 million claim, a $4.5 million claim and a $1.5 million claim.

Motors Liquidation was formerly General Motors Corp., a Detroit-based automaker that filed for bankruptcy on June 1, 2009. The new General Motors Corp. emerged from Chapter 11 on July 10, 2009, and Motors Liquidation's Chapter 11 case number is 09-50026.
