Contrarian Funds buys $11.29 million in claims against former GM

Charlotte, N.C., June 15 - Contrarian Funds, LLC bought two claims against Motors Liquidation Co., according to Tuesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, Contrarian Funds bought DTE Pontiac North's $5.15 million claim against Motors Liquidation.

Contrarian Funds also bought a $6.14 million claim against Motors Liquidation from DTE Moraine LLC.

Motors Liquidation was formerly General Motors, a Detroit-based automaker that filed for bankruptcy on June 1, 2009. The new General Motors Corp. emerged from Chapter 11 on July 10, 2009. Motors Liquidation's Chapter 11 case number is 09-50026.
