Icahn plans to increase stake in Motorola by more than $600 million

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 28 - Motorola, Inc. said Carl Icahn and Icahn Partners LP are planning to acquire between $119.7 million and $500 million of Motorola common stock.

Icahn Partners Master Fund LP and Icahn Partners Master Fund II LP are also planning to acquire more than $500 million, but less than 25%, of the outstanding stock, according to a company news release.

The investors notified the company via a filing required under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976

Motorola is a wireless and broadband communications company based in Schaumburg, Ill.
