Morgan Stanley to price leveraged buffered notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Olympia, Wash., May 13 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due in 23 to 26 months linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 170% of the index return, subject to a maximum settlement amount, which will be between $1,231.03 and $1,270.98 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Investors will receive par if the index declines by 15% or less and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% that it might decline beyond 15%.
