Morgan Stanley plans commodity-linked notes on DJ-UBS Commodity Index

San Diego, July 27 - Morgan Stanley plans to price 0% commodity-linked notes due Aug. 31, 2017 linked to the Dow Jones-UBS Commodity index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.09 times the index return, subject to a minimum payment of $1,090 and a maximum payment of $1,600 to $1,650 per $1,000 of notes. The exact maximum payment will be determined at pricing.

The notes (Cusip: 617482VQ4) are expected to price Aug. 26 and settle Aug. 31.
