Fitch assigns Mongolia long-term rating of B+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a long-term foreign currency rating of B+ and a long-term local currency rating of B+ to Mongolia.

At the same time, the agency assigned the country a short-term rating of B and a country ceiling rating of B+.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said its rating action reflects Mongolia's market-friendly environment, healthy international liquidity position, normalized relations with external creditors and low external debt service burden, weighted against a high government debt burden and ongoing development challenges.
