Moody's gives Mondi Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 issuer rating to Mondi plc.

The outlook is stable.

The rating reflects the well diversified business profile by products and regions underpinned with leading market positions for most of the company's paper and packaging products, Moody's said.

Strong market positions, coupled with a track record of stable and strong margins compared to peers, should build the base for further improvements in credit metrics as pressure from a difficult economic environment eases, the agency said.
