Monaco Coach looks to convert Chapter 11 bankruptcy case to Chapter 7

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., June 22 - Monaco Coach Corp. asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to convert its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case to Chapter 7, according to a Friday filing.

The company said its authorization to use cash collateral expired on June 4, and it has no source of free cash to satisfy administrative expenses that will continue to accrue if it remains in Chapter 11.

Monaco Coach, a Coburg, Ore.-based designer, manufacturer and seller of motor coaches and towable recreational vehicles, filed for bankruptcy on March 5. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10750.
