Monaco Coach: U.S. trustee asks to reopen debtor Outdoor Resorts case

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., April 8 – The U.S. trustee overseeing Monaco Coach Corp.’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to reopen debtor Outdoor Resorts of Las Vegas, Inc.’s Chapter 7 case, according to a motion filed Wednesday.

Regions 3 and 9 U.S. trustee Andrew R. Vara said in his motion that the Chapter 7 case of Outdoor Resorts should be reopened so that George L. Miller may be reappointed as the Chapter 7 trustee and, among other things, reallocate funds to Outdoor Resorts from Monaco Coach.

Miller had filed NDRs in a number of the debtors’ Chapter 7 cases, including Outdoor Resorts’ case, in error as there were funds on deposit in Monaco Coach’s case that actually belonged to some of the other Chapter 7 debtors.

The U.S. trustee moved to reopen the Chapter 7 cases of Naples Motorcoach Resort Inc. and Signature Resorts of Michigan Inc. Those cases were reopened on Jan. 26.

Monaco Coach, a Coburg, Ore.-based designer, manufacturer and seller of motor coaches and towable recreational vehicles. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 5, 2009. The conversion to Chapter 7 occurred on June 29, 2011. The company’s Chapter 11 case number is 09-10750.
