Moelis hires turnaround expert Steve Panagos

Knoxville, Tenn., March 23 - Moelis & Co. announced that Steve Panagos will join the firm in April as a managing director and vice chairman of its recapitalization and restructuring group.

Panagos is a turnaround expert who will provide restructuring advisory services and solutions to the firm's clients.

He was the national practice leader of Kroll Zolfo Cooper's corporate advisory and restructuring practice. During his 20-year tenure at Kroll Zolfo Cooper, Panagos provided restructuring advice to numerous companies and also was chief operating officer and president of Krispy Kreme, interim chief executive officer and chief restructuring officer of Penn Traffic Supermarkets and held several interim management positions at many other companies. Panagos is also a founder of Panagos Katz Situational Investing.

Based in New York, Moelis is an investment bank.
