Mizuho hires Connors, Knoeller to lead new convertibles business

Milwaukee, Sept. 11 - Mizuho Securities USA Inc. announced that it brought on board Keith Connors and James Knoeller to launch a convertible securities department.

Together, Connors and Knoeller have over 45 years of convertible securities and investment banking experience, Mizuho said. Knoeller and Connors report to Robert Betack, head of the equity division.

The operation is focused on the secondary trading of convertibles as well as connecting investors to the bank's Fortune 1000 corporate clients in the primary market.

Mizuho Securities is a broker-dealer and futures commission merchant under the Mizuho Financial Group, with a head office in New York.
