Mirant posts $67.78 million April operating income

Pittsburgh, June 14 - Mirant Corp. reported $67.78 million in operating income for April on net revenue of $340.96 million, according to a monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In March, the company posted a $1.2 million operating loss on net revenues of $217.51 million.

The net profit for April was $53.74 million, compared to a net loss of $47.92 million in March.

Cash on April 30 was $225.73 million, down from $234.90 million at the end of March.

Mirant, an Atlanta-based power company, filed for bankruptcy on July 14, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-46590.
