Mirant, Mirant America's Generation amended unsecured creditors committees named

Pittsburgh, Oct. 13 - Mirant Corp.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the eighth amended official committee of unsecured creditors in the company's Chapter 11 case and the fourth amended committee for the case of debtor Mirant America's Generation LLC, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Mirant's committee is comprised of Lori Ann Curnyn of Hypovereins Bank, New York; Ronald Goldstein of Appaloosa Management LP, Chatham, N.J.; Mark B. Cohen of Deutsche Bank AG, New York; Sandi Horwitz of HSBC Bank USA, New York and Daniel Fisher of Law Debenture Trust Co. of New York.

Mirant America's Generation's committee includes Mike Claybar of California Public Employees Retirement System, Sacramento, Calif.; Ivan Kristicevic of Elliott Associates, LP, New York and Thomas M. Korsman of Wells Fargo Bank Minnesota, NA, Minneapolis.

Mirant, an Atlanta-based power company, filed for bankruptcy on July 14, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-46590.
