Moody's assigns Minera Mexico B1 local issuer rating

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a B1 global local currency issuer rating to Minera Mexico SA de CV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Americas Mining Corp., which in turn is owned by Grupo Mexico SA de CV.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the rating reflects Minera Mexico's continuing high, albeit improving debt profile, ongoing cost pressures and need to reinvest in its mining assets not only to improve operational efficiency but also to maintain its production profile. The rating also considers Minera Mexico's vulnerability to the cyclicality of the copper price cycle.
