Portland, Ore., Sept. 14 – Millicom International Cellular SA announced that it priced $500 million of 5 1/8% senior notes due 2028.
The notes are non-callable for five years.
The securities were talked to yield 5 1/8% to 5¼%.
Millicom intends to use the net proceeds to finance the repurchase or redemption of all of its 6 5/8% senior notes due 2021.
The Luxembourg-based telecom, which operates in emerging markets in Latin America and Africa, intends to use the net proceeds to fund the tender, and/or redeem the notes.
