Appalachian State University, N.C., to price $60.15 million general revenue bonds Tuesday

New York, May 12 - The Appalachian State University of North Carolina is set to price $60.145 million of series 2011 general revenue bonds on Tuesday, according to a notice of sale. The bonds are being sold through the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina.

The bonds (Aa3) will be sold competitively with Davenport & Co. LLC as the financial adviser.

The bonds are due 2012 to 2036.

Proceeds will be used to construct and equip capital improvements on the Appalachian State campus, including the demolition of a residence hall, the construction and equipment of a new honors residence hall, the construction and equipment of a new student union and the installation of a new steam and chilled water tunnel.

The university is located in Boone, N.C.
