Hong Kong's MIE gets consents to amend 6 7/8% notes due 2018

Madison, Wis., June 2 - MIE Holdings Corp. said it received the necessary consents from noteholders to amend the indenture governing its $200 million 6 7/8% senior notes due 2018.

As previously announced, MIE began a consent solicitation on May 19 to align provisions of the 6 7/8% notes indenture with the terms of its 7½% senior notes due 2019 issued on April 25.

The consent solicitation expired at noon ET on May 30.

Holders who consented to the amendments received a consent payment of $3.75 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Branch and Merrill Lynch International and J.P. Morgan Securities plc were the solicitation agents, and Lucid Issuer Services Ltd. was the information and tabulation agent.

MIE is a Hong Kong-based oil and gas company.
