Appalachian Power files automatic shelf covering unsecured notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 16 - Appalachian Power Co. filed an unsecured notes automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used for funding the company's construction program and for other general corporate purposes.

The electric company is based in Columbus, Ohio.
