Midway Games requests sixth exclusivity extension to prepare plan

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 25 - Midway Games, Inc. requested a sixth extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company, citing the size and complexity of its cases, wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to Feb. 18 from Jan. 25 and the solicitation period to April 29 from March 30.

A hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 23.

Midway requested a fifth extension of its exclusive plan-filing period to Jan. 25 from Dec. 29 and its solicitation period to March 30 from Feb. 28.

A hearing on that motion is scheduled for Jan. 26.

Midway Games, based in Chicago, is a developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software for videogame systems and personal computers. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 12, 2009, and its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10465.
