S&P assigns Apollo Investment BBB

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its BBB counterparty credit rating to Apollo Investment Corp.

The outlook is stable.

Since its inception in 2004, Apollo Investment has put together a solid franchise backed by the competent management of Apollo Investment Management, including access to the broader resources at the manager's affiliate, Apollo Global Management, the agency said.

"The firm has posted good financial performance while maintaining strong capital," said S&P credit analyst Jeffrey Zaun. "Asset liquidity is also strong relative to other business development companies."
