Mexico announces results of government auction

New York, Sept. 5 - Mexico's Ministry of Finance announced the results of this week's government securities auction.

The 28-day Cetes bills were priced to yield 7.04%. Bids ranged from 7.01% to 7.05%. Of the Ps. 18.199 billion bids tendered, Ps. 4.5 billion bids were accepted. Last week's yield on the 28-day bills was 7.02%.

The 91-day Cetes bills were priced to yield 7.17%. Bids ranged from 7.15% to 7.18%. Of the Ps. 19.743 billion bids tendered, Ps. 6 billion bids were accepted. Last week's yield on the 91-day bills was 7.17%.

The 175-day Cetes bills were priced at 7.30%. Bids ranged from 7.28% to 7.31%. Of the Ps. 20.432 billion bids tendered, Ps. 5.4 billion bids were accepted. The previous yield on the 175-day bills was 7.30%.

Meanwhile the 8% bonos 3A due 2008 were priced at 101.0755 to yield 7.48%. Of the Ps. 10.9 billion bids tendered, Ps. 3.1 billion bids were accepted. Minimum and maximum bids were 101.0755. The previous issue priced at 100.76453 to yield 7.64%.

And the 9% bonos 7A due 2013 were priced at 105.1405 to yield 8.01%. Of the Ps. 12.655 billion bids tendered, Ps. 3 billion bids were accepted. Minimum and maximum bids were 105.1405. The previous issue priced at 105.6239 to yield 7.93%.
