Fitch gives AA to Buncombe, N.C., sewer bonds

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an underlying rating of AA to the Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County, N.C.'s $33.6 million of sewerage system revenue refunding bonds, series 2008A, and $22.2 million of sewerage system revenue refunding bonds, series 2008B.

The series 2008A bonds are scheduled to sell on March 31 and the series 2008B bonds on April 30, each through a negotiated sale.

At the same time, Fitch affirmed the AA rating on the district's outstanding parity debt.

The outlook is stable.
