Hamilton County, Ohio, defeases Cincinnati sewer district bonds

Madison, Wis., Dec. 3 – Hamilton County, Ohio, gave notice that it defeased its Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati sewer system improvement revenue bonds, 2005 series B, 2006 series A and 2007 series A.

The county defeased the following:

• $61.19 million of its outstanding 2005 series B bonds, originally issued in the principal amount of $83.6 million;

• $60.62 million of its outstanding 2006 series A bonds, originally issued in the principal amount of $83,045,000; and

• $52,505,000 of its outstanding 2007 series A bonds, originally issued in the principal amount of $72,385,000.

The 2005B bonds will be redeemed on Dec. 1, 2015, the 2006A bonds will be redeemed on Dec. 1, 2016, and the 2007A bonds will be redeemed on Dec. 1, 2017.

The redemption price for all three series of refunded bonds will be par.
