Fitch rates Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn., bonds AA-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an underlying rating of AA- to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn.'s approximately $128 million of water and sewer revenue refunding bonds, series 2008A, and $27.3 million of water and sewer revenue refunding bonds, series 2008B (taxable).

The bonds are scheduled for negotiated sale on Feb. 25.

Fitch also said it downgraded the rating on the Metro's about $375.2 million of outstanding parity debt to AA from AA-.

The outlook is stable.
