Metromedia International Group's unsecured creditors committee named

Pittsburgh, June 30 - Metromedia International Group Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Tuesday by U.S. trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members include Caroline Chang of Farallon Capital Offshore Investors II, LP of London; Dale B. Chappell of Black Horse Capital of Charlotte, N.C.; Lawrence P. Klamon of Atlanta; Ryan Vardeman of Palogic Value Fund, LP, based in Dallas; and Chris Cook of Zazove Associates, LLC of Northbrook, Ill.

Metromedia is a Charlotte, N.C., communications company that filed for bankruptcy on June 18. Its Chapter 11 case was filed under the name MIG, Inc., case number 09-12118.
