Mesa, Ariz., defeases series 2007, 2008 utility systems revenue bonds

Norfolk, Va., April 20 – The City of Mesa, Ariz., defeased its series 2007 and 2008 utility systems revenue bonds, according to two notices.
The following 2007 bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2017:
• $3 million of bonds due July 1, 2026;
• $3 million of bonds due July 1, 2027;
• $3.25 million of bonds due July 1, 2028;
• $3.25 million of bonds due July 1, 2029;
• $3.25 million of bonds due July 1, 2030; and
• $41.8 million of bonds due July 1, 2031.
The following 2008 bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2018:
• $1.05 million of bonds due July 1, 2030;
• $1.05 million of bonds due July 1, 2031; and
• $44,675,000 of bonds due July 1, 2032.
