Moody's rates Mesa, Ariz., utility bonds A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating with stable outlook to City of Mesa, Ariz.'s $52.9 million of utility systems revenue bonds, series 2008, and $21.1 million of utility systems revenue refunding bonds, series 2008, which were both expected to sell on May 7.

Concurrently, Moody's said it affirmed the A1 rating and stable outlook on the city's about $723 million of outstanding parity obligations.
