Meruelo Maddux Properties official creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, April 23 - Meruelo Maddux Properties, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by the U.S. Trustee, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

The committee members include Darcy Garneau of EDI Architecture, Inc. of Houston; Chris Zadoorian of GeoDesign, Inc. of Anaheim, Calif.; Sam J. DeFelice of Kirman Plumbing Co. of Los Angeles; William L. Clements of Complete Terminal Services, Inc., based in Cyprus, Calif.; and Luis P. Carreras of L.P. Carreras & Associates, Inc. of Downey, Calif.

Meruelo Maddux, a self-managed, full-service real estate company that develops, redevelops and owns commercial and multi-family residential properties, filed for bankruptcy on March 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-13356.
