Fitch rates Memphis bonds A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ rating to the City of Memphis' approximately $99 million of general improvement bonds, series 2008.

The bonds are expected to sell competitively on April 24.

Fitch also said it revised the outlook to positive from stable on the city's roughly $966 million of outstanding general obligation bonds and the Memphis and Shelby County Sports Authority, Tenn.'s roughly $203 million of revenue bonds.

The A+ rating on the city's bonds and the A rating on the authority's revenue bonds were also affirmed.
