Moody's affirms Aimco, view up to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the Ba3 preferred rating of Apartment Investment and Management Co. (Aimco) and changed the outlook to stable from negative.

According to Moody's, the stable outlook reflects Aimco's progress in improving its operations over the past 18 months, combined with stable leverage and laddered debt maturities.

The agency said these positives are offset by a weakened profit margin that has been improving and should continue to strengthen, material leverage and largely encumbered apartment portfolio.
