New Issue: Taiwan's Mega sells NT$1.3 billion bonds due 2019 at par to yield 1.48%

Madison, Wis., May 2 - Mega Financial Holding Co. announced on behalf of Mega International Commercial Bank Co. Ltd. the issuance of NT$1.3 billion of 1.48% seven-year subordinated financial debentures.

The debentures were issued at par of NT$10 million.

Proceeds will be used to meet medium- to long-term fund requirements and to raise the BIS ratio.

This is the bank's first issuance of subordinated financial debentures in 2012.

The Taipei-based company specializes in commercial and retail lending, venture capital investments, international trade finance, securities dealing, trust services and property/casualty insurance.
