Moody's: Aon senior debt outlook negative

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook on the Baa2 senior debt rating and P-2 commercial paper rating of Aon Corp. to negative from stable.

According to Moody's, the change in outlook was prompted by potential uncertainties associated with the investigations by the New York attorney general as well as by the prospect that Aon could decide, like their principal competitors, to discontinue contingent commission arrangements, which have been identified by the NY attorney general as representing a conflict of interest.

The outlook for the A3 insurance financial strength rating on Combined Insurance Co. of America remains stable.
