Mecklenburg County, N.C., defeases 2009 limited obligation bonds

Norfolk, Va., May 22 – The Mecklenburg County Public Facilities Corp., N.C., defeased its series 2009 refunding limited obligation bonds, according to a notice.

The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on March 1, 2019:

• $1 million of 4% bonds due March 1, 2020;

• $11.98 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2020;

• $3 million of 4% bonds due March 1, 2021;

• $8.81 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2021;

• $11.71 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2022;

• $10.39 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2023;

• $10.32 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2024;

• $10,245,000 of 5% bonds due March 1, 2025;

• $5.34 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2026; and

• $5.3 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2027.

Regions Bank is the escrow agent.
