Mecklenburg County, N.C., to redeem $50 million in series 2000E bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 25 - Mecklenburg County in North Carolina announced it plans to redeem its $50 million of series 2000E variable-rate general obligation bonds.

It plans to redeem the $8.2 million outstanding of each of its bonds due 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, and the $9 million of its bonds due 2020.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus interest to Oct. 1, the redemption date.

The Bank of New York Mellon (800 254-2826) is the trustee.

The county seat of Mecklenburg County is Charlotte, N.C.
