S&P: Mead Johnson view positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised its rating outlook on Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. to positive from stable.

Moody's also affirmed Mead Johnson's BBB corporate credit rating and the BBB- senior unsecured debt rating on the company.

"The outlook revision reflects our expectation that Mead Johnson will continue to improve its credit measures," S&P credit analyst Jeff Burian said in a news release.

"Following negative publicity related to its Enfamil Newborn formula powder in late 2011, the company's U.S. volume dropped. Yet the company has cycled through this volume impact and regained market share in the U.S."
