Obrem Capital ups stake in MDS to 6.1%

Charlotte, N.C., July 29 - Obrem Capital Management, LLC and its affiliates reported the purchase of 2,112,800 shares of MDS Inc., raising their ownership interest to 6.1%, from 5.1% on April 9.

According to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the shares were acquired between July 8 and July 25 priced from $14.07 to $15.70 each.

The investors beneficially own 7,477,000 shares of the Toronto life sciences company.
