Fitch affirms Mazowieckie

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the Polish Region of Mazowieckie's A- long-term foreign-currency rating and A long-term local-currency rating.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the ratings reflect the region's sound operating performance supported by fast-growing income tax revenue, its high liquidity and self-financing capacity.

However, they also take into account a projected increase of the region's debt and financial difficulties in the health-care sector, which Fitch said may require financial assistance from the region.
