Maxim MidCap Value Portfolio to change hands as Domotorffy retires

Minneapolis, Oct. 24 - Maxim Series Fund, Inc. announced that Katinka Domotorffy, one of the portfolio managers of its Maxim MidCap Value Portfolio, will retire at the end of the year.

Effective Dec. 31, she will no longer be involved in managing the fund.

Domotorffy is chief investment officer and head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Quantitative Investment Strategies team.

Maxim also said that effective immediately Ron Hua and Len Ioffe will join Domotorffy as portfolio managers. Also effective immediately, William Fallon and Andrew Alford no longer have portfolio management responsibilities, according to a news release.

Hua is the chief investment officer of equity alpha strategies for Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Quantitative Investment Strategies team. Ioffe has been a portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management since 1996.

Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Maxim Capital Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Co., is investment adviser to the fund.
