Maxim names PIPE specialist Kreger director of investment banking

Washington, July 1 - Maxim Group LLC has named Richard H. Kreger, a specialist in structuring private investments in public equity securities, as senior managing director of investment banking.

Kreger's primary goal is to lead Maxim to the top of the rankings for PIPEs and registered direct placements in 2008, the company said. He will focus on attracting institutional-quality clients in technology, health care, consumer products, homeland defense and security both in the US and internationally.

Kreger, 34, was a senior vice president in the investment banking department at Midtown Partners from 2004 to 2008. In 2004, Kreger was a member of the investment banking team at H.C. Wainwright & Co. He received a BS in business administration with a concentration in finance and marketing from the University of Vermont in 1995.

Maxim Group is a New York-based investment banking, securities and wealth management firm.
