Moody’s rates Anthem notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 senior unsecured debt rating to Anthem, Inc.'s anticipated issuance of senior unsecured notes due 2032 and 2052.

The agency affirmed Anthem’s Baa2 senior unsecured rating on March 8, 2021.

The company will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including, but not limited to, repayment of debt, share repurchase and acquisitions.

The outlook on Anthem is stable.
